2011 Grant-in-Aid Recipient Julianna Grace Fort.
The Zeta Omega Grant-in-Aid recipient for the year 2011 is Julianna Fort and she will be attend Houston Baptist University in the fall. When asked to write a little bit about herself, this is what she offered.
"My name is Julianna Grace Fort, and I am the daughter of Traci Fort. We live in the South Belt Area of Houston, and I am graduating in the Top 15% of my class at J. Frank Dobie High School. I have been blessed to grow up in a Christian home, and I became a Christ-follower when I was in the 3rd grade. I love to sing and I love to serve others in any way I can through mission trips and service projects!
I have been accepted to Houston Baptist University where I plan to major in Elementary Education. Because of the many wonderful experiences I had during my six years at Stuchbery Elementary, I have decided that I would like to become an elementary school teacher, too! I hope to make a positive impact on the lives of my students in the same way that my teachers invested in my life! It is so important for children to have a positive foundation laid for them during their early years, and I would love to be a part of that exciting process!
I am so thankful to be the 2011 recipient of the generous Zeta Omega grant, and I hope to make you all proud as I begin this next chapter of my life!"
